The Police Complaints Authority (PCA) commenced its Community Outreach Programme in September 2012. This initiative was implemented to increase public awareness on what we do and our role and responsibilities in what is known internationally as civilian oversight law enforcement.
These Community Outreach Meetings allowed the members of the PCA to meet people in various communities across Trinidad and Tobago. In true consultation style we heard first hand your concerns as citizens, concerns which we have used in making recommendations on how to eliminate police corruption, criminal offences and serious police misconduct.
In the first phase of this programme we visited 7 constituencies in 2012. In 2013 we began our community visits again and we intend to continue our visits across the length and breadth of T&T so that we can engage with you and hear your views. We look forward to your participation and contribution.
Contact your Member of Parliament to ensure the PCA comes to you.
